If you love cars, your mouth will surely water when you see this supercar from Nissan. The Nissan GT-R was released in Japan four years ago, on December 6, 2007 to be exact. It was released in the United States a year after (2008) and the rest of the world in 2009. Its runtime around the Nurburgring ring is 7 minutes and 29 seconds. Is that fast or what?
Since it was released in 2007, this supercar has undergone various changes until 2010. Power was increased 5hp to 485. The price has an additional $4,000, making it almost $82,000. There are now side airbags, as these have become a standard. The suspension gets new Bilstein shocks and revised spring rates. Makers also tuned the twin-clutch to make the response sportier.
Itís important to know however that the high-RPM launch mode which made the car run 60 MPH in under 3.5 seconds was removed. Why? Because it had the tendency to destroy the $22,000 transmission. Some say that the updates are subtle but they actually make a big difference in the improvement of the performance of this car.
The best rivals for this car include the Audi RS4, Porsche 911, and Chevrolet Corvette ZR1. Still many prefer the one from Nissan as it has the extra power that allows a driver to accelerate beyond the capacity of his sanity. In other words, the ride can be frighteningly fast. In terms of performance, durability, and superior mechanisms, Nissan GT-R is also hard to beat.
